The Department of Ophthalmology provides myriad learning opportunities aimed at a variety of audiences:
For Medical Students:
- 2 to 4 week medical student clerkships providing a broad exposure to our field
For Residents:
- A comprehensive introductory July course for new Ophthalmology residents from all DC Area Programs
- An ongoing comprehensive multispecialty didactic curriculum
- A wetlab including the EyeSi Surgical simulator and surgical microscope
For Residents, and Departmental & Community Ophthalmologists:
- Monthly Ophthalmology Grand Rounds featuring visiting professors from around the country (an accredited CME activity)
- The Annual “Mid-Atlantic Update in Ophthalmology” (an accredited CME activity)
