The Department of Ophthalmology at The George Washington University is proud to offer two and four-week clerkships for medical students. The student will participate in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical ocular disease, in both clinical and operating room settings. This clerkship includes comprehensive outpatient examinations, as well as cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and retina consultations. Students will learn basic techniques in slit lamp biomicroscopy, and direct/indirect ophthalmoscopy.
